Pedaling Books!
Pedaling Books!

Gabriel Levinson is one ingenious and dedicated fellow. He’s combined his passions of cycling and reading into one extraordinary public service: he distributes free books to people in public parks from his custom-built tricycle. For Levinson, "the mission is to build and cherish a private library regardless of class or economic state, which is why the Book Bike is only at public parks. It's a place where every single person, whether you have a roof over your head or don't, has the right and privilege to be."
The Book Bike is indeed mobile, even though it’s engineered to hold up to 300 books, all of which are donated by publishers. Levinson wants to fill the gap created by library budget cutbacks and he’s brought new meaning to the word peddler.
Wow. Go read the interview with Levinson posted at shareable. Prepare to be inspired.
